Skilful jazz bassists are always in demand, especially when they are as multi-skilled and versatile as Ville Huolman and can master all styles and genres. Huolman has played, for example, in the bands of Eero Koivistoinen, Otto Donner, Andre Sumelius, Seppo Kantonen, Pekka Pylkkänen, and Jouni Järvelä, in Perko-Pyysalo Poppoo, Kannaste-Ojajärvi Quartet, Mr. Fonebone, and MP4, the 2002 Getxo band competition winner.
In addition to Finnish concert venues (and the Finnish president’s Independence Day reception), Huolman has often performed internationally including festivals in Switzerland, the Netherlands, Italy and Turkey. He has toured with Perko-Pyysalo Poppoo in Sweden, Germany, France and Syria, among other places.
